Empty Bowls
March 27 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm EDT
The Center for Excellence in Learning through Service (CELTS) is excited to announce our 21st Empty Bowls Event! Empty Bowls was started as a grassroots effort by artists and craftspeople to help feed the hungry in their community. This year we have amazing support from Berea College student potters, Dining Services, the Farm Store, Boone Tavern, Papa Lenos, Bert’s SpeakChessy, and Cracker Barrel.
Empty Bowls will take place at Berea College Woods-Penniman Commons on March 27th at 5:30 p.m. Tickets for the event will cost $15; in exchange, attendees will be served a bowl of soup with their choice of ceramic bowl. All the event proceeds will go to the Berea Food Bank.
Advanced tickets can be purchased in two locations on Friday, March 22, Monday, March 25, and Tuesday, March 26:
- Alumni Lounge, Alumni Building, Berea College from noon to 1 p.m. only, OR
- CELTS, 205 Stephenson Hall, Berea College, business hours
- Or, purchase tickets at the event!
We encourage you to come out and support our Berea community to fight hunger, support our student potters, and enjoy some amazing soup.
If you have any questions about the event or want to purchase a ticket, feel free to contact Ms. Sheila Lyons at lyonss@berea.edu.
