Putting On Our Blue Jeans: White Supremacy, Counter Witness, and God’s Delivering Presence

September 29, 2022 @ 3:00 pm

Rev. Dr. Drew G.I. Hart

Rev. Dr. Hart will explore the domesticated and distorted witness western Christendom has produced, with particular concern for its colonial child, white supremacy. Rather than only providing an analysis of our current problem, he will also draw from his lived experience as a pastor, professor, organizer, and antiracism leader as he invites us to participate in God’s liberating presence today. Rev. Dr. Hart utilizes story, critical theory, history, and theology to gesture us towards God’s nonviolent revolution on behalf of those who have had their “backs against the wall.
