WGS Colloquium: The Art of Falling Apart with Lauren Kelly Benson

We continue to endure wild, heartbreaking, unprecedented times, yet we have so little guidance about relating to these times with wholeness and honesty. What if we allowed ourselves to be ok not being okay? What if we moved through the world expressing the full breadth and width of our emotional experience? What if falling apart is exactly what’s needed to cultivate new ways of relating?

In their Colloquium, “The Art of Falling Apart,” Lauren Kelly Benson (Union Theological Seminary) invites wisdom from Womanist theologies, Buddha dharma, abolitionist principles, restorative and transformative justice, and their own experience as a sensitive-ass-Cancer-stellium-feely-feeler. Their work encourages all to practice radical acts of falling apart, allowing our hearts to break open and to begin, again, from there.
