HOP Talk: Public Libraries and Spanish-Speaking Communities

April 7, 2022 @ 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm EDT

We will explore how public libraries can create connections between English-speaking and Spanish-speaking communities and provide resources for Spanish-speaking community members.  We will feature Rebecca Montano-Smith ‘xx, who will share how the Lexington Public Libraries have connected with the Hispanic community.  Staff from the Madison County Public Library will also share about their programs to provide Spanish-language resources.  As always, we’ll explore how Berea College students can get involved by featuring the work of HOP!

The event will take place in the Loyal Jone Appalachian Center Gallery in Stephenson Hall.
