Great Conversations: Life After Berea

A free-flowing student led conversation with Berea 2012 Alumni, tracing their journeys before, during, and after Berea. This conversation will cover their labor positions while at Berea, majors, and the overall Berea experience, and how that unique Berea experience has set them up for success post Berea. The alumni will discuss what has worked well for them, what has not, and the lessons they have learned.
Cliff and Pamela Sakutukwa are Berea 2012 graduates who currently work and live in Chicago, their adopted hometown since Berea. Cliff, who is from Zimbabwe and Pamela, who is from California, met and married at Berea.
Pamela is a student at Harvard, pursuing a Master of Education in Human Development and Psychology, and will be graduating in May 2021. She holds a master’s in early childhood education from Walden. She has around 9 years of experience in the early childhood space, as both a teacher and director of early childhood programs. Post Harvard, Pamela plans to lead programs in the higher education space. At Berea, Pamela studied education and history. During her time at Berea, she was a student manager in food service.
Cliff is a Technology Consulting Manager at Ernst & Young and has around 7 years of work experience within strategy, operations, and technology consulting space. Cliff has an MBA from Yale and holds the CPA, CMA, CISA, and PMP certifications. While at Berea, he studied math, economics, accounting, and finance. During his time at Berea, he was a TA in the Math/Computer Science department. He was also involved with student government.
