Sonya Renee Taylor is the New York Times best-selling author of The Body is Not an Apology and a thought leader on racial justice, personal and collective liberation, radical self-love, and transformational change. In this moderated conversation with students, Sonya invites in radically unapologetic self-love as this enables us “to love our bodies in a way that transforms how we understand and accept the bodies of others.” It is through this lens that Sonya asks us: In what ways are we closing ourselves off to or withholding support, love, and care from and for others? How can we give ourselves permission to be vulnerable, to help, and to ask for help? To let ourselves be known and cherished? How do we quiet the engrained voices of doubt, shame, and guilt?
Lunch is served at 11:45 AM.
