Friday Finds: Peruse the Cookbooks

In this program, college and community members are invited to explore the more than 500 historic and regional cookbooks that are in the Berea College Special Collections and Archives. This year the public is encouraged to search the cookbook collection for spoonbread recipes and stories. How many will you find? Those wishing to share their own personal spoonbread recipes and stories are also welcome to do so. Not into spoonbread? That’s OK. Come look for other favorite recipes or a cookbook from your hometown.

The cookbook collection may be viewed Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Friday Finds group tours begin at 10:00am in the Library foyer. For additional information, or to schedule a group visit on days other than Fridays, please contact Tim Binkley at binkleyt@berea.edu or 859-985-3267.
