Conversations across Differences
In response to requests from alumni, Berea College is excited to offer exclusive continuing education for alumni seeking to learn how to engage in conversations with people who might think and act differently.
You’re invited to register for Conversations across Differences, which will take place over a four-week period from October 3 to October 24, 2022.
What would be possible if we could lean into creating an environment where we are simultaneously grounded in who we are and able to connect with others who do not share our cultural norms or views? This course will help leaders and influencers at any level develop their capacity and comfort for engaging in dialogues across differences. Whether in your professional environment or personal life, these skills are essential for engaging in critical thinking, challenging your own and others’ assumptions and blind spots, and developing and maintaining meaningful relationships.
This online, asynchronous course is led by an organizational consultant and coach, Maria Morukian, who specializes in diversity, equity, inclusion, and intercultural competence. The course materials will be available as on-demand videos and downloadable workbooks, allowing participants to engage in weekly sessions whenever convenient.
