2021 Westervelt Program
September 14, 2021 @ 6:30 pm – November 23, 2021 @ 8:30 pm EDT

Westervelt has returned for the 2021/2022 Academic year. This fall begins with a continuous eleven (11) week session organized by David Cooke – Founder and recently retired director of Grow Appalachia. For this session, David will be leading woodworkers through the creation of a Shaker-styled side table that can be adapted to any living space or work environment.
Additional projects may be considered upon completion of the initial table construction. The course will begin on Tuesday, September 14th and will continue until November 23rd. The fall course will meet every Tuesday and Thursday night during that time from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Danforth Technology Building.
The course fee will be $30 for this session – not including materials. These courses are open to campus personnel (faculty and staff) with woodworking experience ranging from novice to expert. Due to COVID-19, the course is being limited to 15 participants. Participants must be at least 18 years old to enroll in the Westervelt Program. Due to machines being used each participant will need safety glasses/googles and hearing protection. Please bring cash or check for the course payment on the first day of the course.
Registration will end on September 14th.
